Work in Progress

Map of Mars will be a map of the planet Mars drawn by hand in a style loosely based on the cartographic language of sixteenth century Europe.

Roughly three meters wide and two meters high, the map was originally conceived as consisting of twenty bristol board panels. Five panels have been completed since a January 2009 residency at The Planetary Society (Pasadena, California).
